ACCUPLACER Test for Admission to CSU

ACCUPLACER includes the tests Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics; Reading; and WritePlacer (a written essay).  These tests are used for admission to CSU and scores will determine if the applicant can be admitted.  Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics; and Reading are computer-adaptive, which means that questions adjust to the ability of the test taker, and are untimed. WritePlacer is timed for one hour.

Eligibility:  ACCUPLACER is required of certain applicants.  The test must be listed on your checklist before you can schedule an appointment to test.

Scores: Results and information on retesting will be provided after initial testing.

Retesting: Applicants who do not score high enough to be admitted, or who place into learning support courses (courses below college-level), will be allowed to test one more time.

Test preparation:  Please visit the ACCUPLACER web page to prepare for the test.

Payment: $35, regardless of the specific ACCUPLACER tests you need. Payment is due when you schedule your appointment. When you schedule, you must confirm that you have read, and will abide by, our payment policies.
